|Minimum Education and/or Experience:
The formal education of a doctorate degree of veterinary medicine (DVM); plus four years of experience in conservation, wildlife rehabilitation, animal care, or research.
|Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree and eligible to be licensed as a veterinarian in the State of Arkansas.
|Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations and procedures that affect animal health programs.
|Preferred Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to interpret and communicate scientific information

The Veterinarian is responsible for assisting the state wildlife veterinarian in providing overall coordination for disease
Assists with programs to prevent, control and manage disease in fish and wildlife. Responds to licensed veterinarians

Must be licensed as a Veterinarian by the Veterinary Medical Examining Board in accordance with ACA 17-101-301.
